Presenter

Carolyn Collins of Mindful Path Behavioral Health & Wellness, Inc. M.A., LCPC, ATR-BC, CHC, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Art Therapist, and Certified Health Coach

Carolyn Collins is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Board Certified Art Therapist who specializes in working with adolescents, emerging adults (18-29), and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, disordered eating, poor body-image, low self-esteem, stress, struggles with work/life balance, and life transitions.

Carolyn's practice is informed by the theories of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), strength-based and action-based processes, which help her clients develop a stronger connection to themselves and ultimately deeper feelings of connectedness to the world around them. She often utilizes art therapy as an adjunct to traditional talk therapy, which naturally facilitates a deeper inquiry into struggles and patterns of relating.

Recognizing that each person holds within them the innate ability to know what they need for healing, Carolyn guides her clients towards acceptance and empowers them to make the changes they need to live happier and healthier lives. In working from a holistic perspective, she encourages her clients towards all aspects of self-care; nutrition, exercise, personal connections, career fulfillment and satisfaction, and deeply meaningful relationships.

Carolyn received her Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Loyola University, Chicago and her Post-Master’s Degree in Art Therapy from the Adler School of Professional Psychology, Chicago. She is also a certified Health Coach.
